Yesterday, Oregon’s U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley launched the process of nominating young Oregonians to the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, the United States Military Academy at West Point, and the United States Naval Academy, for an appointment to the Class of 2029.
“It is an honor to be a part of an annual process to support young Oregonians from every part of the state who are dedicated to serving our country and protecting our freedoms,” said Merkley. “I look forward to nominating some of our finest future leaders from Oregon for possible admission to one of the United States service academies.”
