Established in 1986 and now employing roughly 20 people, Moonlight BPO combines traditional service and print-quality values. In addition to offering conventional toner-based digital print, Moonlight BPO now offers HP Indigo digital offset printing.
“The company also offers full in-house finishing in the most secure print-to-mail house in the State of Oregon (holding SSAE 16 Type II certification using the highest PCI Data Security Standards),” said Grigsby.
According Grigsb for the last 15 years, the company moved swiftly from being solely a mail house to offering full print-to-mail capabilities and added toner-based digital capabilities 14 years ago. The recent addition of the HP Indigo press 3600 has added to Moonlight BPO’s capabilities and is enabling it to expand its product and service portfolio.
“Today’s young designers and larger design firms only work in full color and are demanding all sorts of new mediums to create unique and eye catching ads, so the requirement for a vast majority of substrate options is mandatory,” said Grigsby. “At the same time, marketing and distribution styles are changing, so there is an increased demand for variable data print-to-mail in order to really customize your printed pieces and own your audience.
“Being on the cutting edge is of the utmost importance,” Grigsby added. “The main reasons we invested in the HP Indigo 3600 press was because of the vast substrate options it accommodates, coupled with the ability to continue offering custom variable data printing with offset quality.”
Moonlight BPO uses its HP Indigo press for proofing and prototyping as well as for high end large-run commercial work. The company actually offers many services including print-to-mail statements, full service print-to-mail postcards, brochures and newsletters, e-statements, document imaging and scanning and secure on-site document storage.
Looking to the future, Grigsby sees great potential for personalized print-to-mail in the design firm and commercial markets all across America. Moonlight BPO already prints 95 percent of its clients work with variable data print technology. “With this new offset digital press we will be able to offer many new substrate options,” said Grigsby. “The HP Indigo press enables us to offer high-quality fully personalization and highly unique printed products.”
