Nate Pharaoh, a retired Army veteran who “has always been very much an entrepreneur,” according to his wife Leah, a pediatric nurse at St. Charles, have joined forces to open the newest Cuppa Yo in La Pine.
Situated where two previous yogurt establishments have come and gone, the endeavor is the second for the Pharoahs, who previously started a landscape and lighting company in Central Oregon. “We work very well together as a couple,” they said.
Drawn by the idea of “freeing us up to spend more time with family,” the husband-wife team envision eventually adding Sunriver to Cuppa Yo’s growing number of locations.
Moving between yogurt afficionados, and monitoring a brisk breeze outside the store that threatened to play havoc with both balloons and a colorful banner, Leah Pharaoh described the turnout at their afternoon grand opening as “really good.”
