Ignite Bend is seeking submissions for its eleventh iteration slated for Wednesday, October 23. The Tower Theatre will again host the popular community event that promises an entertaining evening of fast paced storytelling and inspiration.

The Ignite format allows each speaker 5 minutes to amuse, educate and enlighten audiences with a prepared presentation. In the past, talks have covered a wide variety of topics including home brewing, rodeo and ultra marathons.

The final deadline for presentation proposals is Monday, October 7.  Speakers will be selected based on feedback and votes collected online from the community as well as a voting party.

Submit proposals at the Ignite Bend website (http://www.ignitebend.com/proposals/) where you will also find information regarding sponsorship and volunteer opportunities. The presenters selected to speak at Ignite Bend 11 will receive a handmade coffee mug from Mug Revolution bearing the Ignite Bend logo.

Bend’s eleventh Ignite event will be webcast live thanks to our multimedia partner, Hand in Hand Productions. Presentations may also be selected for inclusion in the O’Reilly Ignite Show which highlights a different talk from Ignite events around the world for weekly broadcast at their site.

As a non-profit organization, Ignite Bend relies on the support of community businesses, groups and individuals to keep events free. Volunteers will also be accepting a suggested donation of five dollars at the door.
