Saving Grace Volunteer Informational Meeting

Saving Grace will offer an informational meeting to those interested in volunteering with its direct service volunteer program, Thursday, September 19 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. 

Information regarding the various volunteer opportunities and the upcoming volunteer training will be covered as well as a basic overview of Saving Grace’s history, mission and services. 

Saving Grace will hold its semi-annual volunteer training over the course of three weeks starting Thursday, October 3, through Thursday, October 25.  The 40-hour training, which will be held over a series of Tuesday and Thursday evenings and three Saturdays, will prepare volunteers to work directly with the individuals Saving Grace serves.The training fee is $75 to those willing to make a volunteer commitment of one year.

After the training, volunteers will be able help with a variety of services including; answering hotline calls, assisting shelter residents, facilitating support groups, working with children, and assisting at the courthouse. Saving Grace has a particular need for hotline and hospital response volunteers. 

Saving Grace’s volunteers play a crucial role in helping Central Oregon families needing services while dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault. We appreciate those who are willing to donate their time and talents within our organization. 

The mission of Saving Grace is to provide comprehensive family violence and sexual assault services and promote the value of living life free from violence.
