Notice of Public Hearing on the Stevens Road Tract Planning Amendments

The Bend Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 5:30pm to consider and accept public testimony on proposed amendments to the text of the Bend Comprehensive Plan, the Bend Development Code, and the Bend Transportation System Plan and the Bend Comprehensive Plan map.  The proposed amendments are intended for the Stevens Road Tract, located at 61200 27th Street, and identified as Tax Lot 100 on Deschutes County Assessor’s Map No. 18-12-11.

This meeting is being conducted in person at 710 NW Wall Street, Bend, OR, 97703 in the Bend City Hall Council Chambers and virtually (attendance instructions will be posted on the Planning Commission agenda at bendoregon.gov/planningcommission). The agenda for the Planning Commission’s November 27, 2023, meeting will be posted a week in advance. There are two file numbers associated with this hearing.  The proposed amendments can be accessed through the hyperlinked file numbers below.

PLTEXT20230635 — proposed amendments to the text of the Bend Comprehensive Plan, the Bend Development Code, and the Bend Transportation System Plan to incorporate amendments to address Section 9 of HB 3318 (2021) for the Stevens Road Tract.

PLCPMA20230636 — proposed amendments to the Bend Comprehensive Plan map to change the plan designation for the Stevens Road Tract from Urbanizable Area to plan designations based on Alternative 3 of the Stevens Road Tract Concept Plan.

The criteria applicable to review of these proposed amendments include:

  2. Bend Development Code Section 4.6.200 available at bend.municipal.codes/BDC/4.6.200.

The proposed amendments, documents and evidence submitted by all parties and the application criteria are available for digital inspection upon request at no cost and hard copies will be provided at a reasonable cost. The documentation provided in support of each application is available to view and download using the Online Permit Center Portal and the two application file numbers: Planning Application Search | City of Bend – CityView Portal.
