Representative Knute Buehler appointed to three committees including a vice-chair of Consumer Protection and Government Effectiveness.
The Speaker of House Tina Kotek announced the committee assignments for the upcoming 2015 Legislative Session. Representative Knute Buehler (R-Bend) will serve on Health Care, Housing and Human Services, and as Vice-Chair of Consumer Protection and Government Effectiveness.
“I am honored to serve the people of Bend and all Oregonians on these important committees,” explained Buehler. “As a practicing doctor, health care is a particularly important issue to me. I am excited to take my experience in medicine onto the committee and hopefully make a positive impact on health care policy in Oregon.”
As a freshman legislator, these three committees will give Representative Buehler a chance to work on a broad range of issues and demonstrate his leadership as vice-chair of Consumer Protection and Government Effectiveness.
“We have an opportunity and a responsibility to work together to solve the issues that matter to Oregonians,” said Buehler. “I am looking forward to bringing people together to solve problems, especially as a freshman vice-chair. I plan on working hard and doing everything I can to be a voice for the people of Bend.”
