OSU Cascades, along with host Central Oregon Community College, brings the Secretary of State Democratic candidate forum to Central Oregon March 10.
Voting season is upon us. One of Oregon’s most important positions is up for election, the Secretary of State. From legislative oversight to managing Oregon’s businesses and elections, the Secretary of State is a position of enormous importance.
Join OSU Cascades at Wille Hall in the Coats Campus Center on the COCC campus, March 10, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm to watch and meet Democratic candidates, Representative Val Hoyle, Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian and Senate Co-Chair of the Joint Ways and Means Committee – Richard Devlin. This forum will be focused on issues surrounding public lands, state auditing, and election oversight, plus other added topics.
As part of the political science class, OSU Cascades students will be facilitating the forum and questions will be gathered beforehand from attendees for a public Q&A portion. Don’t miss out on the first opportunity this side of the Cascades to meet these candidates!
Doors open at 4pm.
