Red Jacket West (RJW), designer of eLearning tools, held their first Red Talk in February with a 60 person turn out and much knowledge exchanged. RJW founder and organizer of the talks said tickets were all spoken for three days after the event was announced and RJW anticipates even higher demand for the next Red Talk, March 23.
Workshop presenter, RJW client, and author of The Sweet Spot Learn how to expand the amount of time you have to get things done- while fully enjoying the life you’ve worked so hard to create, Christine Carter, PHD captured the audience with research on productivity and elite performance. She is qualified to speak on this as a sociologist and senior fellow at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center.
Dr. Carter offered a practical game plan for mitigating stress by working with our brain’s innate hardwiring to increase happiness, balance and ultimately, success. She explained what happens to our brain when we tip into overwhelmed, why some digital habits are making us less productive, and easy to implement strategies to harness the power of your unconscious mind.
Oscar Gonzales, Program Coordinator of the Latino Community Association (LCA) found the research on what happens to our brain during our perception of abundance and scarcity particularly compelling. The impact was so great that he referenced this research the following evening during the tutor training he was hosting on behalf of the LCA.
Founder of RJW Isacc Tolpin explains, “Our growing company has clients and eLearning consumers all over the globe. Two to five of these industry leading experts come to our studios monthly for video production, so it only makes sense to give back to the community by providing a free monthly message from one of our clients.
“We are receiving a lot of positive feedback from those who attended our recent event. It was a lot of fun to have the community in our creative space. We will do one Red Talk per month and the first 70 people who RSVP will get to attend.”
Future Red Talks will be held monthly with topics like self improvement, business management, leadership, and golf fitness.
The next Red Talk will be held Wednesday, March 23, 7pm at the RJW office, 20300 Empire Ave., #130, Bend. Hosting the workshop entitled To tell the truth: The art of the tough conversations is author, leadership consultant and MBA professor, Karin Hurt.
