Bend’s favorite Thanksgiving Day community event, “I Like Pie,” is only three weeks away. Registration is currently open and we already have over 400 participants signed up. This year’s event benefits local non-profits, NeighborImpact and Girls on the Run of Central Oregon. The current pricing is as follows: $10 for adults ages 18 and over and $5 for youth ages 5-17.

On November 5, prices will increase to $20 for adults and $10 for youth. Youth under the age of five are free. Registration is required for all participants and pre-registration is highly encouraged. “I Like Pie” t-shirts are also available to order online or to purchase at FootZone. Paper registrations are available at FootZone and Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend’s Downtown Club.

Online registration is available at: http://www.footzonebend.com/happenings/i-like-pie/

“I Like Pie” will take place in the Old Mill District at 9am on Thanksgiving morning (November 22), with a 5K community fun run/walk course and a 1.5 mile family friendly run/walk course. Both courses are UNTIMED this year. Participants are encouraged to bring a homemade pie to share and/or to enter into the pie contest. See food guidelines at: http://www.footzonebend.com/happenings/pie-safety-guidelines/. Each participant is also encouraged to bring five pounds of non-perishable food to donate to NeighborImpact.

Packet pickup will take place at FootZone on Tuesday, November 20 from 2-6pm and Wednesday, November 21 from 10am-6pm. Packet pickup and event registration will also be available the day of the event, Thursday, November 22, beginning at 7am.
