The Community is Invited to Keep the Magic Alive at Kiefer’s Magical Brew Bash

Rimrock Trails Treatment Services and Wild Ride Brewing are holding a community event, Kiefer’s Magical Brew Bash, to kick-off the Kiefer Magic Hazy IPA on April 1, 2022, from 6-10pm at the Redmond Wild Ride Brewing location, 332 SW Fifth Street. For every Kiefer Magic pint sold, Wild Ride Brewing will donate $1 to Rimrock Trails in honor of Wild Ride team member Kiefer Leutschaft and to support mental health awareness for the Central Oregon community. April 1, 2022, would have been Kiefer’s 27th birthday.

“We are so very grateful to the Wild Ride Brewing Team not only for their commitment to the mental health and well-being of the Central Oregon community but for also honoring the life of our dear friend Kiefer,” said Michelle Duff, community relations manager of Rimrock Trails Treatment Services. “With Wild Ride’s support, we can begin to breakdown the stigma that prevents individuals from seeking mental health services and let individuals and families know it is okay, to not be okay.”

About Kiefer:
Kiefer Leutschaft was a beloved son, brother and friend. Kiefer grew up in Redmond and attended Redmond High School. He later went on to graduate from the University of Oregon with a degree in Economics. He had close friends and a loving family but struggled with debilitating anxiety which led to clinical depression. Kiefer lost his battle with mental illness on October 3, 2021, leaving his family and friends devastated.

“Due to the stigma of mental health, Kiefer masked his feelings as a coping strategy,” said Julie Leutschaft, Kiefer’s mother. “Our family wants to eliminate the stigma and get people talking about the importance of mental health. This is why we have partnered with Rimrock Trails, a nonprofit organization that provides mental health services for children, teens, young adults and their families.”

The Story Behind the Beer:
Kiefer was Wild Ride Team Member who had a magic quality about him. Some would say supernatural in his ability to unite friends and family. The community is invited in keeping the magic alive by purchasing a pint of Kiefer Magic at Wild Ride and many other participating local businesses and restaurants. Businesses that would like participate are asked to contact Dustin Amos at Point Blank Distributing 541-508-6243.
