In order to continue providing the best possible service to its customers in Central Oregon, SAIF Corporation reports it has moved its Bend office to a more convenient, centrally located area. The new address is 999 SW Disk Drive, Suite 103, near the Old Mill District and is close to shopping, restaurants and Cascades East Transit service.
In other news, Rand Rietmann, regional office director in Bend, retired this summer after a 30-year career at SAIF. He started as an underwriter in the Bend office in 1984 and aside from a few years in Salem and Corvallis, spent most of his career in Central Oregon.
Mike Elliott has been named to succeed Rietmann as director of operations for SAIF’s Eastern region. Elliott joined SAIF in 1993, and his career includes time in claims, return to work, and marketing. He has also held a variety of management positions in SAIF’s regional operations and in policyholder programs. Most recently he served as return-to-work/EAIP manager.
Elliott will be assisted in his new role by Fred Payton, who has accepted the position of regional operations supervisor for the region. Payton has been with SAIF since 1989, with a background in claims, return to work, loss control, groups, and marketing. He has served as a senior account representative in Baker City since 1994.
