Free Spirit + Yoga + Ninja + Play hosts their Halloween Hangout Thursday, October 30! The day includes Toddler Open Play from 8:45-10:15am and 10:15-11:45am, including a super cute toddler costume contest and a surprise visit from a friend who loves cookies. Later in the day is Kids Open Play from 12-1:30pm and 1:30-3pm, featuring group games like Zombie Tag and a visit from a spidery friend.

The Old Mill District’s family-friendly Halloween party returns from the dead on Friday, October 31, from 4-7pm. From trick-or-treating at the shops to watching the spectacle of costumed pets parading, and Central Oregon Aerial Artists soaring to the iconic Witches’ Paddle on the Deschutes River, Halloween in the district is an evening full of community spirit and ghoulishly good times.

Bend Witches’ Paddle, a benefit for MoutainStar Family Relief Nursery, launches from Riverbend Park at approximately 4pm on Halloween. Whether you’re a Glinda, Elphaba, feeling Wicked or more of a Wanda, don your witchy wardrobe and paddle down to the Flag Bridge in the Old Mill District. Add to the activity by bringing donated goods for MountainStar to use in support of their community – baby wipes, food, diapers, etc. – all are welcome to contribute to the collection box at Riverbend Park on Halloween.

Bend Design Turns Ten
Bend Design Conference returns to celebrate ten years of creative community and a commitment to designing a better future. The conference will take place on November 7-8 at the OSU-Cascades campus, featuring speakers and workshops from diverse design backgrounds to inspire forward-thinking attendees to imagine what design can do for good.
