TiE Oregon announced today the finalists for 2016 Pitch Oregon including Hydaway and Red Plate Foods in Bend. Pitch Oregon is a pitch competition focused on highlighting companies from around the state in three stages of development: concept, seed/bootstrap and mature. On March 16 nine companies from around the state will compete for prize packages and a chance to win the over-all prize of $2,500 – $10,000.
The pitch competition is being planned by a steering committee of volunteers from organizations throughout the state making it a true state-wide program. These organizations include the Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO), Regional Accelerator and Innovation Corvallis and Eugene (RAIN), Portland Development Commission (PDC), Oregon BEST, FertiLab Thinkubator, and Hispanicpros.
“We were overwhelmed by the number of outstanding applications we received and it was very difficult to select the finalists,” said Kari Naone, executive director of TiE Oregon.
