East Cascades Works (EC Works) has launched their annual Employer Training Funds opportunity and is seeking proposals from employers looking for resources to support the training of their current workforce in an effort to increase the competitiveness of both employees and their business, while creating new employment opportunities.
EC Works has $75,000 available and will consider proposals that include a request of a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $25,000. To apply, employers must be willing to provide total cost match at $1:$1 and must be located within one of the following counties: Klamath, Lake, Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook, Wheeler, Gilliam, Sherman, Wasco or Hood River.
“Past opportunities like this one have been hugely competitive,” said Stefanie Siebold, director of programs, East Cascades Works. “Given that there are a limited number of funds available, we encourage employers to apply now. The application is straightforward and simple; and provides a unique chance for employers to skill up their current workforce. Don’t wait to apply.”
The call for proposals is open now with the first deadline for submission due by noon Pacific on September 16.
