It’s the Final Push!
We’ve got just $6,000 to go and a generous donor has offered to match every dollar up to $3,000 to get us to our goal of $15k for school gardens BY THIS SATURDAY!
Donate this week to get your dollars matched, plus get entered to win prizes!
Starting tomorrow, we will be announcing THREE prize packages (one per day) with some fabulous prizes from our garden sponsors. Follow along on our Instagram, Facebook, or website to see the prize package revealed for each day and how to be entered to win!
Thank you to Bend Bikes, Desert Sky Montessori, Bend International School, and the Deschutes County Juvenile Community Justice Detention Facility for a great day of learning and riding on our first-ever School Garden Bike Tour.
We hope to offer more events like this in the future – stay tuned!
Help turn this blank shed into a masterpiece! Join us for our last Happy Hour in the Garden of the season: Tuesday, October 18, 4-6pm. We’ll have beer from Crux and NA bubblies as you help us winterize the garden.
We’ll be putting the final touches on our new alleyway beautification and art installation by Evan Namkung.

Get Involved! Apply for City of Bend Community Advisory Committees
Community committees are a great way to get involved with City government. The City has a number of Council-appointed boards, committees, commissions and advisory groups that make recommendations to City Council or City administrative staff. There are several openings coming up. Applications are being accepted for the Bend Economic Development Advisory Board, Budget Committee, Environment and Climate Committee, Human Rights and Equity Commission, the Neighborhood Leadership Alliance and the Planning Commission. Visit bendoregon.gov/committees.
Wondering what it is like to serve on a Committee? The Environmental Center’s Transportation and Climate Advocacy Manager, Neil Baunsgard, is open to answer your questions! You can email questions to Neil@envirocenter.org.
