Specialty cycles include low-to-the-ground, three and four-wheel cycles that anybody can ride, experienced or not. Wheel Fun Rentals’ iconic Surrey cycles seat up to nine people and are the perfect way to get outside and explore your surroundings with family and friends.
“We are so excited to be opened for the season!” said local operator Joanie Krehbiel. “We’re in the business of providing good, clean and healthy fun to all Deschutes County residents. After all the below zero temperatures we experienced this winter, there’s nothing more enjoyable than riding the sun soaked Deschutes River Trail.”
Wheel Fun Rentals’ leisurely three- to four-hour self-guided Deschutes River Trail bike tour is great for beginners or the most experienced biker. Tours trek along the Deschutes River Trail, a 19-mile trail extending from Tumalo State Park to Meadow Camp. Starting from Bend’s Old Mill District, riders will come across McKay Park, Drake Park, Mirror Pond, First St. Rapids Park, Sawyer Park, and Archie Briggs Canyon along this extensive bike trail. Archie Briggs Canyon offers stunning views of Mount Washington and Black Butte to the northwest and the Deschutes River far below.
Wheel Fun Rentals is located across from the pond at SW Powerhouse Drive and SW Mill A Drive. Bike rentals start at $10 an hour. Half-day, full-day, and multi-day rentals are available.
