Taphouse in downtown Bend will open its doors to the public at end of June with a grand opening scheduled for June 27. Located at 1043 NW Bond Street (former location of SuperVillian Sandwich Shop) White Water Taphouse is surrounded by popular restaurants, shops and visitor destinations. Boasting 30 rotating taps pouring northwest craft beers, cider, wine and champagne as well as bottled cider, wine and kombucha, the Taphouse is the first of its kind in Central Oregon.
White Water Taphouse is a dream turned into reality for owner Nick Griffin. A Portland native with a passion for beer and love of people, Griffin will bring both together in the heart of Bend.
“This community thrives off their sense of adventure and love of great beer – it’s pretty ideal,” says Griffin. “We have already done a couple of events prior to opening and love being a part of what’s going on around us.”
The Taphouse will focus primarily on beverage service with a small plate menu consisting of eight to 10 items. A custom designed tap tower will house 26 different northwest craft brews, three northwest wines and one champagne (yes, champagne on tap!).
Beer, wine and cider selections will be listed via a DigitalPour menu board displaying keg levels, alcohol percentage and pricing of each beverage on tap. Those menus will be available on the website at www.whitewatertaphouse.com upon opening.
White Water Taphouse will open at noon during the summer. Minors are permitted until 7pm. Hours will change according to sport seasons as will food menus and beverage specials. Growler fills will be available on all craft beers.
