Bullying in Central Oregon is Increasing: You Can Help by Supporting Younity

0

Younity believes that we are stronger together. As a community in Central Oregon, Younity understands the need for promoting courage and support within the schools.

That’s why they invite you to make a special year-end tax-deductible donation to Younity. For every gift they receive between now and our December 31, they will be able to send students to Challenge Days and Inspiration Days that are proven to help combat bullying in our local schools.

As we have been seeing in the news, not only in our community but also all over the country, students are being targeted for being different even more now than ever. It is Younity’s mission to protect these students and be proactive within the schools. They are focused on creating compassionate spaces for students to feel empowered to support one another and  students will also interact with adults who care and see them for who they are.

In 2016 Younity funded, administered, and supported 10 Challenge Day workshops, impacting 973 students and 289 adult participants. Since January 2009, Younity has brought 81 workshops to Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson County schools. These Challenge Days have changed the lives of 7,800 students and 2,300 adult participants.

In addition to bringing Challenge Days to Central Oregon, Younity has created Inspiration Days for elementary schools. Inspiration Days focus on increasing connection through staff trainings, poster contests and school assemblies. These activities help students gain an understanding of how their actions influence themselves and others.

Younity would like to ask for your support with your tax-deductible year-end donation of whatever amount you can afford. This is one simple way to help Younity change education in 2017. It is because of generous donations like yours that they are able to continue these programs through which lives have been changed for the better.
