Every other month, The Environmental Center in Bend, Oregon and their local business partners host Green Drinks – a casual networking event with a mix of business and community members.

With summer weather right around the corner, they’re doing things a little differently this month and heading to Bend’s Makers District on Thursday, May 28 from 5-7pm to check out a few innovative, creative businesses that call this neighborhood home.

This Green Drinks will be a progressive-style event, co-hosted by Central Oregon Locavore, Sara Bella Upcycled and Natural Edge Furniture. You’ll have the opportunity to stroll through the Makers District, tour these local shops and learn all about their daily commitments to environmental stewardship and sustainability. (With yummy food & drinks, plus raffle prizes, along the way.)

SCHEDULE
5-5:40pm Central Oregon Locavore (1216 NE First St.)
5:40-6:20pm Sara Bella Upcycled (1234 NE First St.)
6:20-7pm Natural Edge Furniture (135 NE Norton Ave.)

Come enjoy some fresh air and the energy of this neighborhood. Other Makers District business owners will be present to meet and mingle, as well.

Barrio is providing food from their brand new truck. Come check out some tasty finger foods in the parking lot of Natural Edge Furniture, where you can also enjoy s’mores for dessert.

To enjoy a truly green drink, bring your own cup and consider carpooling, walking, biking or transit to get to the event. You are encouraged to ride your bike to the event, but if you come by car, there is plenty of parking available near one of these businesses or along the road.
