Clifton Cannabis Law announced its formation and plans to represent companies in the cannabis and hemp industries in all stages of development, from formation through sale. The firm has opened initial offices in Bend, Eugene and San Diego with expert legal teams licensed in all markets and plans to expand into Los Angeles and Portland in the near future.

Clifton and Rodney Eales, director of the firm’s California office, understand every aspect of the marijuana industry. Clifton authors a company blog that provides thought leadership to her clients and the industry. Liane Inkster, of counsel in Eugene, brings nine years of experience working with the prosecutor’s office in Oregon to address any potential criminal law issues.
Clifton is a skilled corporate lawyer with the heart of an entrepreneur. Her career spans several industries and economic cycles and includes working for national law firms and taking companies public during the dot com era, serving as in-house counsel for a civil engineering firm and technology company and has a half of a decade of tax law, representing clients before the IRS.
She has started two businesses of her own, one of which attracted attention from Oprah Winfrey, USA Today, People Magazine and New York Times. She serves on the board of directors of Kids in the Game and Northwest Youth Discovery and served in the past on the board of directors of Mountain Star Family Relief Nursery. Clifton has a B.S. from the University of Southern California and a J.D from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she graduated cum laude.
In addition to his work at Clifton Cannabis Law, Eales runs a real estate investment firm and has extensive knowledge of permitting, construction and complex real estate transactions. He has a B.A. degree from University of Southern California and a J.D. degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
