Last Friday, FoundersPad alumni company Amplion Research won the Launch Stage competition at a record-setting Bend Venture Conference. With over $900,000 awarded to companies, including $350,000 from FoundersPad partner Seven Peaks Ventures, this marks the largest total investment award pool at a venture conference in the state’s history.

At this year’s conference, Amplion and CrowdStreet, another FoundersPad company, received cash and in-kind investments of $400,000 and $150,000, respectively. With Amplion winning the Launch Stage competition, this marks the second year in a row that a FoundersPad company has won the Launch Stage competition after Nouvola came away with the top prize in 2013. Since FoundersPad’s launch in 2012, four additional alumni have been finalists on the BVC stage including Droplr, JettStream, RallyCause, and ziPede.

“The exponential growth and success of FoundersPad and the Bend Venture Conference in the past few years serves as continuing proof of the incredibly vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem we have here in Bend,” said Dino Vendetti, Partner in FoundersPad and General Partner in Seven Peaks Ventures. “I’m proud to be supporting entrepreneurs in Central Oregon and am eager to see even more backing from the business community as we gain more traction on a national and global scale.”

FoundersPad plans to leverage recent alumni success to drive applicants for future accelerator sessions and workshops. Applications for Fall/Winter sessions are being accepted now and interested entrepreneurs can learn more at https://founderspad.com.
