Create Memorable & Relaxing Experiences for Your Team

by Planning a Scenic Tour of Some of Central Oregon’s Iconic Waterways.

Whether you are bringing your group to Bend for the first time or your company has been established in Central Oregon for decades, we know you’ll agree this is one of the best places in the Pacific Northwest to both work hard and play hard.

While “team-building” activities like ropes courses and GPS treasure hunts have become trendy ways to get your employees engaged, here at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe we believe some good old fashion fun works just as well.

Visit us at our stunning location on the banks of the Deschutes River in the heart of Bend, and imagine the possibilities. Visualize your group heading out on the river for a sunset paddle to relieve the stress of a long day of meetings or workshops. After the tour, you’ll experience a gorgeous Central Oregon sunset and kick back with a few local microbrews as you enjoy the views of the Cascade Mountains from our beautifully manicured lawn.

Or better yet, plan a day away from the conference rooms and enjoy a kayak, canoe or SUP tour of some pristine sections of the Deschutes in Sunriver. We’ll do the heavy lifting; all you have do to is show up outside the door of your hotel that morning.

The following is a sample of group-specific activities we offer here at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe. We have dedicated staff ready to meet your needs and make planning your activities as seamless as possible.

Full or Half Day River Tour

Explore pristine sections of the Deschutes River. We’ll pass ancient lava flows, colorful aspen groves and we’ll paddle into tranquil sloughs and side channels. On some trips we might see a variety of wildlife including deer, elk, cougars, black bears, bald eagles and otters. Lunch and transportation can be part of your package.

Stand Up Paddleboard Social

Enjoy a healthy night out on the river after a long day at the office. There is no better way to stimulate conversation and camaraderie than learning a new sport together. We’ll paddle an easy 1.5 miles upstream past Bend’s historic mill sites and to the Healy Bridge. Our guides will offer as much or as little instruction as your group requests. Plan to add on a “back deck” social to your package so that you can relax after your tour and enjoy the serenity of a high summer evening with a few local microbrews.

McKenzie River Inflatable Kayak Trip

Discover a whole new way to play in the rapids: hop in an inflatable kayak (IK) and navigate fun Class I & II rapids on one of Oregon’s most scenic whitewater rivers. Experience the excitement of whitewater first hand with Tumalo Creek’s ACA-certified guides right by your side.

These are just some of the offerings that are part of our group-specific menu at Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe.
