High Lakes Healthcare Now Open in NorthWest Crossing, Bend, Oregon

Central Oregon’s primary care group, High Lakes Healthcare has opened their doors to a fourth location in Central Oregon. High Lakes is the first of eleven buildings to open in the Shevlin Health and Wellness Center, a medical campus embedded in the northwest neighborhoods of Northwest Crossing and Awbrey Butte.

Traditionally, High Lakes has focused on adult medicine and is now offering pediatric medicine care through Central Oregon’s only double board certified pediatrician and internal medicine provider, known as a “Med/Pads” Physician. High Lakes first pediatrician, Dr. Carolyn Day, says that she “looks forward to developing a comfortable office, catering to pediatric patients and their families. I love the idea of having a neighborhood clinic directly within a community where many families live.

Children attend school only blocks away and play in the many lovely parks in NWX. This is an ideal location for a family-centered clinic.”

”This has been an exciting project to participate in. I believe High Lakes Shevlin, as a facility, captures our style of healthcare: personable, approachable and a part of the neighborhood,” says Dan McCarthy, administrator.

“We are proud to be putting down roots at the Shevlin Health and Wellness Center. The name of the center truly embodies our goal of providing “healthcare” and promoting wellness in our community, rather than limiting our healing ability to “sick care” only. We look forward to welcoming patients into our beautiful new office and providing the same excellent level of care that patients have come to expect from High Lakes Health Care,” adds Lisa Uri, M.D.

High Lakes Health Care is an independent, primary care practice dedicated to accessible, quality care. They are part of a network of companies called Praxis Medical Group, independent providers who have joined together to create a higher level of care experience for the patient, patient’s family, and the communities we serve. High Lakes will continue to provide exceptional heath care services at Upper Mill, Sisters and Redmond locations.
