During the Redmond City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 22, Mayor George Endicott presented Redmond’s inaugural ‘Citizen of the Year’ award to Eric Sande.  In honor of the award, Sande was presented a key to the city.

Sande serves as the director of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce & CVB.  He was honored for his significant and long-lasting contributions over the past twenty-five years, which have made the Redmond community a better place to live and work.

The Mayor’s ‘Citizen of the Year’ award has been established to honor leaders and role models whose contributions to the community have made Redmond a better place.

“When thinking who deserves this award, many names came to mind.  But one kept rising to the top,” remarked Mayor Endicott.  “Since 1992, Eric Sande has dedicated much of his adult life to Redmond. He has given the Chamber a strong reputation across Oregon and used his inspiration to bring Redmond some of its most well recognized events such as the Music on the Green summer concerts and our winter holiday festivities.”
