Feast From the Farms!

On Saturday evening from 5-8 pm, tour stop owners and tour-goers will have a chance to mix and mingle to talk more about gardens, chickens, farms, and food at our first annual Feast from the Farms Event. Tickets will be sold separately from tour booklets, and will be $10 per person. Food at the event will be provided by local chefs/ restaurants, who are paired with a farm featured on the tour. Restaurants represented include Blacksmith, Brasada Ranch, Deschutes Brewery and Dump City Dumplings.  The chefs and the farms will collaborate to create several appetizers which will be served at this small-plates dining event. Local beer from Good Life Brewing, cocktails and wine will be available at a cash bar.  Live music from Organic Music Farm and Big Pine and the Pitchtones will round out this informative evening event.

About The Backyard Farm Tour

The Backyard Farm Tour is co-sponsored by Celebrate the Season and NeighborImpact, and all proceeds will benefit NeighborImpact’s Food Bank.  The Backyard Farm Tour arose out of a desire to share a variety of farming and gardening techniques with those interested in becoming more self-sufficient. Central Oregon is a notoriously difficult place to successfully grow vegetables such as tomatoes and peppers, but many persistent growers have learned tips and tricks over the years. For more information on the tour & the feast, contact Celebrate the Season at 541-CHICKEN or e mail cts@bendbroadband.com
