‘Oregon Health Care Reform’

11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Luncheon presented by Jim Diegel

Health care in our country is in a state of flux. At the national level, Congress continues to wrangle over the Affordable Care Act, a sweeping piece of legislation that aims to extend health coverage to more Americans and curb abuses in the insurance industry. The state of Oregon is grappling with a revenue shortfasll, which means cuts to provider reimbursements and reductions in state-funded health services. It’s clear to St. Charles and other health systems around the country that the industry is poised to fundamentally change. The path we’re on is unsustainable. Jim Diegel, President and CEO of St. Charles Health System will discuss the current state of healthcare at the national and local leveal and what that means to you.
