The fifth annual Mt. Bachelor Rotary Club St. Patrick’s Day Dash, presented by Deschutes Brewery is Saturday, March 14 at 10:05am. The 5K family fun run begins and ends at the Deschutes Brewery & Public House in downtown Bend. The course design is ideal for all ages and runs through downtown Bend, along the Deschutes River and through Drake, Columbia and McKay Parks.

“Bend’s St. Patrick’s Day Dash has raised thousands of dollars to support non-profits in Central Oregon, and we are excited to have KIDS Center as our beneficiary in 2015,” said Anna Robbins, Committee Chair of the St. Patrick’s Day Dash. “This is a great event for the entire family, a chance to dress up to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day, and it benefits an organization that makes a profound impact on our community.”

KIDS Center, Central Oregon’s only child abuse intervention center, provides medical evaluations, forensic interviews, family support and therapy in a child-friendly environment helping children and their families overcome the devastating impact of child abuse. Built by the community for the community, for 20 years KIDS Center has been hearing, helping and healing children and families who have experienced child abuse.

Participants may register online at www.bendstpatsdash.com. Race packet pickup is Friday, March 13 from 4-7pm at FootZone in downtown Bend, or on Saturday, March 14 from 7:30–9:30am at the race site. There will be prizes for the fastest lad and lady, and for the Best St. Paddy’s Day Costume.

The entire community is invited to enjoy the Robberson Ford-Mazda Post Dash Bash at the Deschutes Brewery (10am–1pm) featuring live music from Five Pint Mary, food and beverage.
