The 2021 Impact Conference is the evolution of our successful Real Estate and Economic Impact Breakfast events into one information-rich, half-day conference. In addition, this year we have included the hospitality industry in our lineup of session breakouts. All attendees will be served breakfast and take part in the Economic session. Following the Economic session, attendees will have the choice of joining either the Real Estate or Hospitality session.
This Impact Conference will provide attendees with the education, foresight and resources needed to recover from the pandemic and prepare for the future. To begin the morning, we will be joined by the U.S. Under Secretary of Transportation Policy, Carlos Monje, to discuss the upcoming infrastructure package. Immediately following the Under Secretary, we’ll have our featured conference keynote presentation EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES: Capitalizing on the Trends Transforming Your Region by Simon Anderson, international futurist and emerging technology consultant.
The Economic session will be headlined by Regional Economist at Oregon Employment Department, Damon Runberg. The Real Estate session will feature Commercial Keynote Speaker Darren Powderly of CrowdStreet and Residential Keynote Speaker Brian Ladd of The Ladd Group at Cascade Sotheby’s. The Hospitality session will have a moderated panel discussion focusing on solutions to the hospitality labor shortage. The moderator and panelists include:
- Todd Montgomery, OSU-Cascades Hospitality Management Program Coordinator
- Israel Morales, Co-Owner and the Director of Operations of Kachka
- Molly Hartley, Director of Human Resources at Sunriver Resort
- Lynne McConnell, Affordable Housing Manager for the City of Bend
- Zach McKirahan, Director of Human Resources at Brasada Ranch
