Bowtie Catering Co. is a women-led business that embodies culinary excellence and personalized service in Central Oregon. With over eight years of experience, their team crafts exquisite spreads for high desert events, garnering community recognition and prestigious awards. Rooted in a farm-to-fork heritage and meticulous attention to detail, Bowtie Catering Co. provides full-service catering customized for events of any scale.
Sanda Costello, after emigrating from Romania and managing multiple restaurants for ten-plus years, founded Bowtie Catering. Making the transition wasn’t difficult for her, as “food is food, and this is what I’m best at,” she says.
Now, Costello has the chance to wow guests with a new event space, situated within the beautiful Seventh Mountain Resort, just south of Bend down the Cascade Lakes Highway. She envisions this space to be a place for family reunions and weddings, but also wants to keep it open for the “Monday through Friday folk,” as she puts it. Meaning, that this space, while ideal for large and elegant group gatherings, will still be available for team retreats, board meetings, pitch meetings and more, adding to the meetings space in or near Bend that offers professionals both space and natural beauty.
The space itself can accommodate a large diversity of groups, with up to 120 occupants. There are ten speakers hooked up throughout the room, saving guests the hassle of bringing their own. In fact, guests won’t have to worry about anything, from speakers and wifi to video conferencing tech, cameras, microphones, screen sharing capabilities, and of course, good food and beverages.
“My goal here is to create an all-inclusive space that meets a wide variety of needs,” Costello said.
With Costello and Bowtie Catering, there is an emphasis on personal connection. From designing the menu to staging the event, Costello stays engaged. She manages the front of the house as well as the back, ensuring everything — from cut of meat to serving temperature — meets her standards. “This means you’re not handed off to anonymous teams,” she said. “At Bowtie, your event matters to the founder as if it were my own.”
In addition, Costello imagines the space to be for everyone, specifically envisioning how to bring locals more into that group. From community partnerships to offering up workspace, Costello has plans to bring in locals, so that the people who call Bend home can still enjoy the beautiful things and places that are oftentimes seen as for tourists. All in all, Costello wants people — all people — to feel safe and welcome in her space.
When it comes to style, Costello plans on merging her own style with local PNW features. 13 chandeliers are on their way up, creating what she calls a “European boujee flare.” And just outside of this flare sits the stunning backdrop of ponderosa pines and scenic mountain peaks.
From family reunions to weddings, business retreats and even just as space to work, Costello is excited to do what she loves: gathering people of all kinds into her space, and treating them like guests in her own home. For catering and event service with that kind of feeling, look no further than Bowtie Catering in their new space at the Seventh Mountain Resort.
Events in this space are already being booked.
