Deschutes County Clerk’s Office has launched a new public service called, Property Recording Alert System (PRAS), to help community members stay informed about documents recorded in the County’s official records.
PRAS is a free notification service designed to improve public awareness of recording activity related to property records and to give residents greater visibility into documents recorded under monitored names. Subscribers will receive automated email alerts when a new document is recorded, along with a direct link to view or download the recorded document, making it easier than ever to stay informed and protect your property.
Key features of PRAS:
- Same-day notifications when documents are recorded
- Enhanced name monitoring to improve tracking accuracy
- Detailed and concise information in each alert
- Direct access to view or download the recorded document
Important information for subscribers:
PRAS is intended as a monitoring and awareness tool only. It does not prevent fraud, verify ownership, confirm title status or determine the legal effect of a recorded document. The Deschutes County Clerk’s Office cannot provide legal advice or interpret the contents of recorded documents.
Suspected fraudulent activity should be reported immediately to Deschutes County Non-Emergency Dispatch at 541-693-6911.
This service is funded through existing recording fees and is available at no additional cost to Deschutes County property owners.
To register for the Property Recording Alert System or learn more about how the service works, visit the County Clerk’s PRAS website.
