On July 14, 2026, the Madras Redevelopment Commission (MRC) and Madras City Council approved a Purchase and Sale Agreement for the former Initiative Brewing property located at 715 SW Fourth Street.
Following the closure of Initiative Brewing’s Madras location, the Madras Redevelopment Commission and City Council evaluated available options to address the project’s remaining financial obligations while preserving the long-term value of the property. The approved agreement allows the MRC to obtain ownership while repayment of the remaining financial obligation continues under a new agreement.
