City of Bend Hosts Neighborhood Connections Projects Open House

0

The community is invited to drop in to the City of Bend’s Open House to learn about and provide feedback on two City transportation projects:

Neighborhood Connections (Better Connections and Slower, Safer Streets): This program aims to connect walking and biking routes and slow traffic speeds at various locations across the city. Projects can include sidewalk connections, sections of bikeways, speed humps, traffic calming tools, 20 miles per hour business districts and more. Community members can provide input on which projects to prioritize.

Transportation Standards Update: The City is expanding its traffic calming toolbox and looking for community input on which traffic calming tools to use on different types of streets.

The drop in Open House will be held Thursday, September 17 between 5:30-7:30pm at the Larkspur Community Center, Community Room, 1600 SE Reed Market Rd. City staff will be available to answer questions.

For those who can’t visit in person, an online Open House will be available September 17-October 1.
