Bend Outdoor Worx Announces 2026 Breakout Pitch Event

0

Bend Outdoor Worx (BOW), the nation’s first outdoor industry accelerator, will bring its annual BOW BreakOut Pitch Event back to Volcanic Theatre Pub on October 14, bringing emerging outdoor brands together for an evening of pitches, conversation and community.

This year’s BreakOut, the longest running outdoor-exclusive pitch event, will feature five rising outdoor brands pitching their businesses and sharing what they’re building as they compete for a $10,000 no-strings-attached cash award.

Following the pitches, founders will participate in an audience Q&A before attendees cast their votes to help determine the event’s winner.

More than a traditional startup pitch competition, BreakOut offers an inside look at the challenges, opportunities and experiences that come with building an outdoor brand. The event also brings together outdoor entrepreneurs, industry leaders, founders and members of the broader outdoor community.

“This is our favorite night of the year,” said Gary Braceiln, BOW founder. “This evening is a glimpse of all of the work our team has accomplished over the co-hort. It’s a room packed with five entrepreneurs/founders, one stage, and a community that shows up to back the future of the outdoor industry — that’s BreakOut in a nutshell.”

Attendees are invited to arrive early to meet BOW founders and mentors, learn more about BOW programs and check out the Oregon Outdoor Alliance (OOA) Silent Auction featuring incredible outdoor gear—with all proceeds benefiting OOA.
