Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the largest horse competition in the region now through July 26. The Oregon High Desert Classics features riders from throughout the western region. Spectators are invited to visit the show Wednesday through Sunday, free of charge.
Classes and competitions are being held in six performance rings at the J Bar J Ranch located at 62895 Hamby Rd. from 8am to 4pm. Vendors selling ice cream, sandwiches, coffee, and saddles are on site.
For a special occasion, attend the Grand Prix dinner on Saturday July 18 or Saturday July 25 to see the best of the best riders. Other special events include the International Hunter Derby breakfast on both Sundays.
A particularly fun night is at the Classics is the Beer, Wine, Equine event on Friday, July 24 from 4pm to 9pm. No cost to spectators. Enjoy a beer/wine tasting for $15 to sample one of twenty local breweries. Proceeds from the Oregon High Desert Classics support youth working with J Bar J Youth Services.
