New hire part of investment plans to grow and transform its journalism.
Zolo Media recruited top talent to lead its local content production. The media company announced this week the hiring of Curtis Vogel, former producer for “The Today Show” and NBC News in Los Angeles.
Curtis comes to Zolo Media after nearly 12 years in Los Angeles, where his responsibilities included research and story pitching, interview booking, filming, writing and editing for “The Today Show.”
“We are thrilled to bring talent of his caliber onto our team,” said Julie Brinks, general manager of Zolo Media. “Our goal is to be more forward thinking in our approach to transformative journalism here in Central Oregon, and Curtis will play a key role in our success.”
Vogel is leading news development and local content for Zolo Media. The group is currently wrapping up the construction of a new production and sound studio in time to kick off a daily news show later this spring.
“Zolo Media is on the brink of exciting change,” said Vogel, who officially joined Zolo in late January. “I look forward to bringing those changes to life.”
