One-stop commercial banking coupled with financial, investment and real estate loan departments is now being offered in the Nolan Town Center in Redmond with the opening of PremierWest Bank’s second branch office in Central Oregon.
The Medford-based institution, with most of its 39 branches located along the I-5 corridor from Sacramento, California north to Eugene, now has two full-service branches on the high desert. Earlier, PremierWest Bank opened a branch in Tuscan Square in Bend.
“The Nolan Town Center branch is our second full-service branch in the vibrant and growing Central Oregon area and allows us to consolidate all of our services and operations under one roof for the convenience of our customers,” said PremierWest Bank president Jim Ford.
Deanna Crouser, a veteran of over 30 years of banking experience and a resident of Redmond for the past nine years, serves as the branch manager. Crouser is a former member of the Redmond City Council and was the recipient of the 2001 Business Woman of the Year for the Redmond-Bend area.
The bank also completes the construction of Nolan Town Center in southwest Redmond where developer Ron Lusk says the new branch is a great fit for the Redmond community.
“We had two other banks interested in the location, but my partners and I already had a great banking relationship with PremierWest Bank and always felt they were a quality organization,” he said. “I’ve dealt with some banks before and this (development) was a breeze.”
Lee Construction teamed with architect Brian Hawkins of Medford in creating the 12,000 square foot building that features two tones of masonry block and a formal twin pillar entry, sloping roof lines and plenty of storefront windows on all four sides of the structure.
The branch is totally different than most of PremierWest Bank’s other branches, according to Crouser, with more open space and the addition of a financial and real estate loan departments. Leonard Weise will head the finance department that is scheduled to open next month and Vickie Vessey is the real estate loan officer in Redmond. The bank’s commercial department is headed by Bob Dyer, senior loan and credit officer.
The interior offers ample natural lighting, oak trim along the doors and windows and throughout the teller stations and slate tile flooring. There are four teller windows, including an ADA accessible station and a customer service area with children’s play area.
Customers should also enjoy the free homemade cookies and coffee offered every day and a private viewing area for safety deposits.
“There’s a strong sense of openness here which is exactly what we wanted in the vision for this branch,” Crouser said. “I’ve heard comments from our customers that they feel like they’re going to visit a friend, not a bank, and we want everyone to feel welcome here.”
PremierWest Bank’s niche is commercial banking and Crouser said she’s constantly doing her best in an effort to “try and fit the round peg into a square hole.” Crouser:
“Customer service comes first with our people doing business with the people in this community. We feel we’re a great fit in Nolan Town Center and offer convenient services for everyone. We came here because our commercial customers asked for full-service banking. We felt we could take care of old customers better with the new branch while adding new customers who are coming to Redmond.”
