November 14 Rick Williams, principal, Rick Williams Consulting Parking and Transportation presents ideas on parking management strategy.
With several decades experience in downtown development and parking and transportation demand management, Rick Williams brings a unique perspective to our community, where parking is a central and often controversial issue. As Central Oregon plans for ongoing success, a distinction must be made between perceptions and realities to develop and implement an effective parking management strategy.
Williams will explore methods for compiling and interpreting data, policies and their effect on development, and strategies to ensure that parking systems are efficient and accommodate new economic growth.
Thanks to the Transportation and Growth Management Program (a partnership of ODOT and the Dept. of Land Conservation and Development) and Mount Bachelor Village for sponsoring this lecture.
