Thank you for your continued engagement and input regarding the City of Bend’s business registration program.
We want to provide a brief update on the registration process that was outlined to take effect July 1. At this time, the City will NOT proceed with the program changes as originally communicated on June 1, 2026. There will be no immediate changes to the structure or requirements at this time. The revised fee schedule before Council on June 17 increases business registration fees by 10% as planned for in the FY25-27 budget adopted in June 2025.
That said, we recognize the importance of ongoing collaboration with the business community. Over the coming months, the City will work closely with the Bend Economic Development Advisory Board (BEDAB) to evaluate the program, refine ideas, and explore opportunities for improvement. A key part of this effort will include gathering additional feedback from local businesses to ensure the program remains effective, practical, and supportive of Bend’s economic vitality.
