The Bend Central District (BCD) Initiative Visionary Board and the Bend Central District Business Association (BCDBA) are excited to invite the community to “Bend Together,• a special celebration of the progress being made in the Bend Central District and an opportunity for community members to engage in shaping the future.
Join us on September 24 from 4-7pm at Open Space Event Studios for an engaging and fun-filled event designed to bring together civic leaders, local businesses, and residents to celebrate, discuss, and plan for the future of the Bend Central District.
What to Expect:
- Meet & Engage with civic leaders, business owners, and cultural figures who are shaping the future of Bend’s Central District.
- Community Dialogues with key figures, including members from the BCD Initiative, City of Bend, Bend Parks & Rec, Central Oregon Landwatch, ODOT, Bend Bikes, RE/MAX Key Properties, Central Oregon Locavore and developers like Project PDX Catalyst, Roost Development and Hiatus Homes. Share your thoughts and ideas on intentional development, transportation, housing, and more.
- Fun for All Ages with interactive activities from the Children’s Museum of Central Oregon mobile museum, food, and beverages from some of the best in the district including Manzanita Grill, and a “living room” space to relax and converse complements of BCD icon Big Story Bookstore.
- This event provides a unique opportunity for the community to come together and voice their thoughts on the future of the Bend Central District. Whether you’re passionate about the district’s development, or simply want to connect with neighbors and leaders, this event is for you.

About the BCD Initiative Visionary Board:
Formed in 2018 by a diverse group of over 30 individuals, the BCD Initiative Visionary Board is dedicated to preserving the character, diversity, and unique services of the Bend Central District. Our goal is to create a hub that supports affordable housing, living wage jobs, sustainable development, and connectivity, while honoring the history and culture of the area. We work to ensure the district remains a vital, livable, and inclusive space for all.
About the Bend Central District Business Association (BCDBA):
The BCDBA is a nonprofit organization working to enhance the vitality of the Central District by improving infrastructure, fostering a thriving local economy, and advocating for the needs of local businesses. We are committed to creating a welcoming, vibrant space that serves both residents and visitors.
