Successful Aging – How Do You Do It?

0

For many of us, a sprained ankle, a sleepless night just before a big presentation or the sudden onset of a cold just before visiting the grandkids can wreak havoc. But for others, life can take a sudden turn that can permanently change everything. After all, accidents or sudden illness can happen anytime. My 97-year-old grandmother sure had it right when she said “getting older is not for sissies.”

However, if you know where to look for information and support, the anxiety and stress of life’s surprises can be anticipated and lessened. At Partners In Care, we’re committed to offering resources, education and support to help patients and families in our community maintain mental and emotional wellbeing as they age.

In fact, with over 35 years of expertise in Central Oregon, we’re expanding on our commitment by increasing the services we offer as the longest serving home health and hospice organization in the region. We’ve recently expanded our reach to now offer hospice and home health care services to the Prineville, and Madras communities as well as additional cities south of La Pine.

And, as part of our commitment to providing resources to our regional community, we’ve also recently updated our website to better offer valuable information, increased content and all the details families might need when looking to plan for the future. Through our website and social media efforts, it is our goal to stay in touch with community members, provide the kind of helpful information families need – and inspire quality of life during the aging process. We invite you to visit partnersbend.org or check out our Facebook page to learn more.

For even more inspiration and information, attend the 9th Annual Cascade Conference on Successful Aging on September 9 at Central Oregon Community College. Partners In Care will be facilitating a panel discussion on handling life’s unexpected turns.
