Local chiropractor Dr. Daniel Bourque has expanded the offerings of his clinic, Bend Whole Health Family Chiropractic, in a new location at 354 NE Norton. Dr. Bourque has leased a space and is having it completely remodeled to better serve clients with a full array of services. The new clinic will have on-site X-ray for diagnostic purposes, and in addition to chiropractic care, will offer massage, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, nutritional and weight loss counseling, as well as supplements and Medifast products.
Bend Whole Health Family Chiropractic, formerly Daniels Chiropractic Clinic, has been operating for 18 years, and since 1999. Many of the clinic’s current patients have been coming throughout the past 18 years, as Dr. Bourque emphasizes prevention, wellness and proactive health care.
Dr. Bourque was educated as a chiropractor at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland where he graduated Cum Laude in 1999. He is best known for the wide array of techniques that he’s been trained in and the gentle release work through which he helps patients’ nervous systems establish clear communication with the rest of the body. With regular chiropractic care, patients regain a full range of motion, have more energy and clarity, and are relieved of pain and stress.
The chiropractic tradition is a holistic approach to health, and the new clinic will feature three massage therapists and a nutritionist to offer more options to patients with a variety of needs. Services at Bend Whole Health are affordable and the office accepts many forms of insurance, which helps clients manage the cost of ongoing care.
Dr. Bourque believes there is a vast underutilization of chiropractors. Many of his patients come in for headaches, neck and back pain, or following a car or workplace accident. But Dr. Bourque is also adept at helping people with such conditions as tension, stress, fibromyalgia, lack of flexibility, numbness and tingling, and carpal tunnel syndrome, to name just a few. He also specializes in prenatal and postnatal work with women, and has a special gift in relating to and treating children.
Dr. Bourque comments: “My work has a lot to do with energy. Sometimes people don’t have acute pain, but they may not be sleeping well, may be feeling the effects of extreme stress, are tired, sick or have lost their vitality. My goal is to restore integrity to spinal and neurologic function so that people may more fully express their potential as healthy and productive humans.”
The Bend Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting for Bend Whole Health Family Chiropractic on Tuesday, August 10, 4:15-5pm at the new clinic.
