Prepare your feet Central Oregon there’s a new practitioner to promote relaxation, improve circulation, reduce pain, and soothe tired feet.

Alyce Navesky, Certified Reflexologist, is now open for business to bring relief and assist in your body’s natural healing process.  She is a graduate of the Sage School of Massage and Healing Arts with a certificate in Reflexology.  She also is a trained Reiki practitioner.

“At the end of a session, clients are surprised to experience a deep sense of relaxation. Reflexology relieves stress and brings the entire body into balance; it’s about achieving homeostasis.  This is the natural state of the human body that promotes health and well being,” says Navesky.

Reflexology is the systematic application of manual pressure to areas on the feet and hands called reflex points.  These reflex points correspond to organs, glands and other parts of the body.

Pressure to these points relieves stress, treats physical disorders and gives the body the ability to take charge of its own wellness.  For example, there are approximately 7,000 nerve endings on the soles of the feet.  Toes correspond to the head, the ball of the foot to chest area, and the arch of the foot to abdominal-pelvic area.

“My intention is to support the client in their pursuit of health and wellness.  I do not diagnose, prescribe or adjust medications.  I provide a safe healing environment and assist the body’s natural ability to heal itself,” says Navesky.

Navesky is trained to work with specific health issues.  Her work has helped clients with high blood pressure, stress, diabetes, allergies, asthma, migraines, bronchitis, autoimmune diseases, cancer, digestive issues, shoulder/neck pain, lower back/hip pain, thyroid, hormone imbalances, colds, menstrual disorders and arthritis.

Reflexology is also used for post-operative or palliative care and is recommended as a complementary therapy to standard medical care.  Reflexology is not a replacement to seeking medical advice.
