Redmond Breaks Ground on New High School

The Redmond School District broke ground on its new $80 million 1,400-student high school last week.  The high school site is located at SW Elkhorn Avenue and Canal Boulevard.

Voters of the Redmond School District approved funds for the high school as a part of the 2008 bond plan. The new site provides a long-term capacity solution for the rising high school population. In addition, the design of the school (approximately 250,000 square feet) will incorporate small learning communities in order to increase student achievement.

Skanska is the contractor for the project and DOWA is the architect.
