Mid Oregon Credit Union has begun construction of a new facility in Madras. When completed the 2,500 square foot building located at 395 SE 5th & F Street, will offer a full service retail lobby with teller and lending services as well as a drive-up ATM, a 24 hour access walk-up ATM, and a conference room to facilitate use by community groups and organizations affiliated with the credit union. The new branch is expected to open in approximately six months.

The new Mid Oregon Credit Union Madras branch will bring additional service to approximately 1,000 current members in Madras and Jefferson County, and provide convenient access to credit union services for the entire community.

“We are excited to be opening a new branch in Madras. There has been a great deal of support for the credit union over the years in this community,” said Bill Anderson, President and CEO of Mid Oregon. “During these tough economic times, many people are finding security in the credit union. Our local focus is fueling growth and supports our ability to help more Central Oregonians.”

Anderson added that the Credit Union deposits exceeded $100 million for the first time since establishment in 1957.

“This major milestone reflects the strength and stability of our financial institution as well our continued growth,” explained Anderson. “We work hard to build relationships and trust with our members, and we provide great member service. The current economic environment allows us to distinguish the credit union from other financial institutions. Now people are interested in learning more about Mid Oregon and why we are a preferred choice for financial services.”
