The arts are what make our community strong and vibrant and Arts Central has a proud 40 year heritage of cultivating creative minds in Central Oregon.Our mission as a nonprofit is to inspire people of all ages and talentsthrough innovative, quality programs that champion the arts:

Art Station–Located in the Old Mill District, Art Station is Central Oregon’s only non-profit visual arts school.With a wide variety of adult, child and family programs, from one-day classes to ongoing Art Academies to Art Paired with Wine, students of all ages and abilities can work with our talented, professional instructors.

Artists in Schools–Arts Central believes the arts matter to grey matter. Through our Artists in Schools (AiS) program, teaching artists bring new concepts to life and learning retention improves as students connect to curriculum in exciting, meaningful ways. Artists in Schools programming is available to all school in Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook, Lake and Klamath counties.

VanGo – On the outside, VanGo is a colorfully decorated Honda Element. Inside, it’s a mobile art studio complete with supplies and an art instructor ready to give children the opportunity to build skills in various art disciplines. To date, over 2,250 under served kids rural towns with limited access to professional-level arts education have been reached through VanGo.

Community Outreach – The arts not only enrich, they can also heal. Arts Central is honored to provide nurturing arts instruction and activities to numerous organizations and entities, including Partners in Care Camp Courage, St. Charles Healthcare’s cancer program, Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Oregon, Head Start and Mary’s House.
