The Ascent Architecture and Interiors team recently celebrated the grand opening of Conflux Brewing Company in Missoula, Montana, marking the completion of the Bend firm’s first ground-up brewery project. Ascent managed all phases of the project, from conceptualization and design through construction, including land analysis and permitting. “The primary reasons we chose Ascent was for their reputation in designing breweries and for the fresh architectural style they brought to Missoula” said Skip Yates of Conflux Brewing Company. “We had also worked with Ascent on another project and enjoyed their collaborative approach melding our desires to cost and construction concerns.”
Other projects from Ascent’s brewery and distillery portfolio include the award-winning Silver Moon Brewing pub remodel in Bend and its production facility in Redmond; the award-winning Wild Ride Brewing in Redmond; and the award-winning Worthy Brewing Company restaurant expansion and deep-space viewing observatory in Bend. Project sizes have ranged from startups to 40-barrel systems and scopes have included tenant improvements, remodels, and ground-up facility designs.
“Well laid-out, efficient breweries take skill to design,” said Yates. “Ascent worked closely with our head brewer and our manager to come up with an effective building plan. Ascent also worked collaboratively with ourselves, the contractor, engineers and local government agencies to keep costs under control.”
“The combination of their experience in brewery projects, their design conceptualization, thoroughness and trustworthiness made Ascent an easy choice for Conflux. Besides that, we just enjoy working with the whole staff…I’m sure their building design will contribute to our success.”
