Authentic Leadership Training in Oregon

0

To help Bend professionals — from entry-level to executives — build and enhance their leadership skills, Oregon State University (OSU) is offering a leadership workshop that previously has been attended by top businesses like Microsoft, Eddie Bauer and Coca-Cola.

The Leadership Training program in Bend starts November 18 and consists of three, one-day workshops that teach folks how to communicate more effectively, increase employee engagement and lead teams around a shared mission and purpose.

An Oregon Leadership Training Series

Teams respond to authentic leaders. If you’re looking to build trust, boost engagement and help your team reach new heights, it all starts with a fundamental shift in your leadership style.

Authentic leadership builds on your unique strengths. This leadership style enables you to lead in a natural way that reflects your personality. While we often look to other leaders for inspiration, authentic leadership places a high value on your core values and what you find important. When you lead from a place of authenticity, you establish a stronger connection with your team—which lays the foundation for greater engagement, loyalty and trust.

About the Series

This three-day Oregon Leadership Training Series will be held November 18-20 in Bend. Developed by international executive coach Dean Newlund, this Series is comprised of three courses. (You can opt to enroll in the full series or enroll in individual courses.) Each course focuses on an essential element of authentic leadership. Over three days, you will learn how to look inward to lead with authenticity while developing effective leadership techniques.

What You’ll Learn

This leadership development program will expand your understanding of what it means to lead on a deep and personal level. You’ll gain skills to successfully lead in today’s evolving workplace by learning:

  • How to gain and build trust.
  • How to increase employee engagement.
  • How to boost your team’s productivity and innovation.
  • How to forge lasting business relationships.

What Does It Mean to be Authentic?

What exactly does it mean to be authentic? According to instructor Dean Newlund,

“Being authentic means that you are being yourself. You are vulnerable. You are open to learning. You are able to share your personal life with other people. And you speak from your heart.” Authentic leaders are more effective because they have a clear brand, a clear message, a clear goal and a clear purpose in life.
