Bend Brewing Co. (BBC), is partnering with Bend’s Bamboo Ski & Snowboard Company, SnoPlanks, on their first-ever Winter Ale benefitting Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS). “Sno’d In” Winter Ale will debut at BBC’s release party on Friday, December 2 that will feature live music, a live auction, outdoor heaters and much more with a portion of all beer sales donated to OAS.
“It is such an honor to be the beneficiary of the grassroots partnership between Bend Brewing Company (BBC) and SnoPlanks along with the release of Sno’d In. This partnership speaks to the creative and supportive business leaders of Central Oregon. OAS is so very grateful,” said Suzanne Lafky, executive director of OAS.
Sno’d In will be BBC’s first-ever Winter Ale release and will donate a portion of all sales straight to OAS. “Whether it’s a pint at our pub, a 22 oz bottle or a local restaurant buying a keg through our Distributor, Bigfoot, it will all benefit OAS,” said Packy Deenihan, president & co-owner. “The beer itself is fantastic, but the most rewarding part is being able to give back to such a great organization like OAS.”
Recent winners of the 2015 Bend Venture Conference Early Stage award and 2016 Bend Venture Out Conference, SnoPlanks, manufactures all products from start to finish in Bend, Oregon. A core principal of SnoPlank’s is giving back to the local community to organizations like OAS and many other outdoor focused foundations. Established in 1995, BBC is the second oldest brewery in Bend and brews fewer than 1,000 barrels annually on the second floor of the brewpub at its landmark downtown location.
