Muddy Paws Bathhouse is excited to introduce its new owners, the Rafilson Family. Fred, Kim, Sid, Eden and Cocoa Rafilson purchased Muddy Paws Bathhouse from Jane and John Legg on November 1. The Rafilsons are dedicated to maintaining Muddy Paws’ great reputation and its mission as a neighborhood business that provides clean, friendly, safe, and most importantly, compassionate and gentle dog grooming.

Nearly three years ago, Fred and Kim uprooted their family from Chicago and moved to Bend to spend more time outdoors with their kids and enjoy a better quality of life. They quickly fell into the Bend life-style — biking, skiing, hiking and camping. Their dog, Cocoa who enjoys keeping up with her family, has been a happy client of Muddy Paws for the past two years. When Kim saw that Muddy Paws was for sale, she told Fred that this was “a wonderful opportunity to run a local business with a solid reputation and a phenomenal staff.”

Jane and John Legg founded Muddy Paws Bathhouse in 2011 with a commitment to compassionate dog grooming. “We opened Muddy Paws with the vision that our customers and their dogs would be treated like family with quality and compassionate dog care. Caring for your dog, working as a team and being part of the community was (and is) our goal. I knew it would take someone special to come in and continue our vision, and the Rafilson family is perfect,” commented Jane Legg.

Kim Rafilson stated, “We are excited to contribute to and be a part of our dog-loving community and to further build on the great reputation the Leggs and staff at Muddy Paws have created. The bathers and groomers at Muddy Paws are the best in the business and truly love what they do.”

Muddy Paws Bathhouse is open 7 days a week from 9am-6pm and is located on the westside of Bend at 155 SW Century Drive.
